Abstract
El objetivo de esta investigacion es estudiar variables relacionadas con la alexitimia en pacientes con Trastornos del Comportamiento Alimentario (Anorexia, Bulimia y Trastorno por atracon). Se estudian 25 sujetos adultos que acuden a un Equipo de Salud Mental Comunitaria de Madrid (Equipo de Salud Mental de Vallecas. Centro de Salud Rafael Alberti), durante el ano 2000 y primer semestre del 2001. Para la evaluacion de la alexitimia hemos empleado la Adaptacion espanola de la Escala de Alexitimia de Toronto (TAS-20) (Martinez-Sanchez, 1996) y la Escala de Evaluacion de los Trastornos de Alimentacion (EDI, 1983). Los resultados reflejan la existencia de niveles medios significativamente superiores de alexitimia en el grupo de sujetos con TCA frente a los obtenidos por el grupo control, asi como en relacion a los datos normativos de la poblacion espanola (Martinez Sanchez, 1996). Por ultimo, los sujetos en tratamiento psicologico muestran menores rasgos alexitimicos que los sometidos a tratamiento farmacologico o tratamiento combinado (psicologico y farmacologico).
