Résumé Cet essai explore différents aspects du travail de la photographe Lynne Cohen, en effectuant un parcours de sa récente rétrospective intitulée No Man's Land: The Photographs of Lynne Cohen. Organisée par la conservatrice Ann Thomas du Musée des beaux-arts du Canada, l’exposition documente la vision singulière de Cohen tout au long d’une carrière de trente ans comme photographe. Concevant les espaces intérieurs comme des « objets trouvés », l’artiste offre, avec ses vues frontales d’un blanc et noir austère ou en couleurs éclatantes, un aperçu sur l’étrangeté du familier. Ses photographies interrogent le design, le goût et la culture, de même que certaines idées liées à l’espace public et privé.
