Abstract
In the year 2000, on the 20th anniversary of Marshall McLuhan�s death, \nJorge Lozano wrote a biographical account on the Canadian thinker \nwhich was published in Claves 109 magazine under the title �Who is \nafraid of Marshall McLuhan?� (�¿Quién teme a Marshall McLuhan?�). To \ncelebrate the hundredth anniversary of his birth, the professor of Information Theory at the Complutense University of Madrid and Marcello Serra review that text, insisting on the concepts of medium and form, for an \nInfoamérica-ICR monographic. In their discussion, Lozano and Serra x-ray \nthe re-appearance of the enigmatic prophet thanks to globalisation and \nthe appearance of Internet, after the ostracism that critical theory and \nthe Academy had condemned him to during the 80s.
