Abstract
El trabajo describe la instrumentacion de la formacion por competencias laborales en la Quimica para tecnicos de esa rama y se aplica en el instituto politecnico Martires de Giron. Se detalla como se determinaron los principios de la Quimica que requieren los tecnicos de las especialidades Farmacia Industrial, Procesos Biologicos y Quimica Industrial. Se plantea la estrategia metodologica para que los estudiantes alcancen las competencias: Aplicar principios de Quimica y Realizar procedimientos quimicos de laboratorio. Se describen los planes marcos, planes de curso y las tecnicas utilizadas en la evaluacion del desempeno del estudiante. Los resultados en promocion y la opinion de profesores, estudiantes y personal del mundo del trabajo validan la investigacion. El experimento se efectuo en el periodo 1999 hasta el 2002, como parte del proyecto Escuela - Empresa en colaboracion Cuba - Canada.
