Abstract
En partant d’un regard croise sur les dimensions economiques et proprement urbaines de l’immigration, peut-on decloisonner les recherches sur l’immigration et les minorites ethnoculturelles ? Des parcours et des problemes d’insertion professionnelle aux espaces de commerce et de cohabitation dans les quartiers, en passant par la diversite des espaces de la ville plurielle, onze textes examinent les nouvelles realites migratoires dans differents contextes urbains canadiens. Les recherches requises pour cet ouvrage representent autant de pieces echelonnant l’amorce d’un nouveau paradigme. Un paradigme qui, en complement aux approches actuelles axees sur l’integration, cherche a explorer d’autres avenues de recherche, d’analyse et de comprehension de la pluralite ethnoculturelle qui compose nos quartiers, nos villes et nos milieux de travail.
