Abstract
On croyait que la philosophie universitaire avait perdu l'intérêt pour ces interrogations prétendument frivoles concernant les questions essentielles de la vie.Ainsi, l'amour, le bonheur, l'espérance, la morale, notions philosophiques décisives de la pensée grecque jusqu'aux Lumières, étaient reléguées à l'arrière-plan de la pratique philosophique.Pourtant Jean Grondin, professeur de philosophie à l'Université de Montréal, spécialiste de la philosophie allemande mais surtout de l'herméneutique de Gadamer, renoue dans sa dernière publication, intitulée Du sens de la vie, avec ces notions n'ayant jamais cessé de tourmenter les esprits depuis qu'elles ont été évincées du discours universitaire.Loin de confiner le problème du sens de la vie à un subjectivisme commode ou à une philosophie mal définie, Grondin en fait plutôt une force englobante qui, sans jamais cesser d'appartenir à l'intimité de chacun, nous transcende tous.
