Abstract
This chapter studies the issues related to the use of Internet technology within Canada by religious minorities. Religiously motivated individuals and organized religions have chosen to use the communication media to spread their message. The Internet is a term used to identify interconnected networks of computer networks. Many of the personal activities undertaken by people using the Internet involve religion and spirituality. The groups gained a unique opportunity to present information about themselves to the communities in which they lived and also the world at large by creating web pages. The World Wide Web has become a medium that allows for new relationships to develop between people and places. Since the online activity is new and constantly developing and changing, its full implications on religious diversity within Canada is yet to be determined, but it is having a positive impact upon the complex religious fabric of the country.Keywords: Canada; online; religious diversity; World Wide Web
