Hacia mediados del ano 2006, recibimos la invitacion de la Coordinacion General de Empleo de la Direccion de Vinculacion de Empleo de la Secretaria del Trabajo y Prevision Social (STPS) como academicos del Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia dedicados al estudio de las migraciones y a los analisis que hemos elaborado sobre migrantes mexicanos a Canada durante mas de tres decadas de operacion del PTAT. El estudio y analisis que presentamos ahora toma en cuenta toda la informacion que nos fue proporcionada, pero pretende ser objetivo y critico sobre el funcionamiento del Programa de Trabajadores Agricolas Temporales Mexico-Canada (PTAT).
