Abstract
Subject Prospects for China's economy in 2020. Significance China’s economy will meet the target of growing by 6.0% in 2019, provided it grows by 5.5% in the fourth quarter. However, the government would prefer it to be faster, for fear of endangering the prospect of 5.5-6.0% growth next year and thus the target of doubling total and per capita GDP between 2010 and 2020.
