El espacio no es una mera extensión, una simple forma de la intuición o bien una condición de la experiencia y de la representación. Es el receptáculo del devenir de las cosas en su movimiento y su historia. El espacio cinematográfico, fundado sobre el cinetismo, da cuenta de esta propiedad del “lugar” que a veces hace su incarnación icónica de una cierta temporalidad vivida. La película de Theo Angelopoulos, Le Regard d’Ulysse, de la que analizamos aquí una de las escenas principales, nos hace sentir y percibir esta iconicidad del tiempo vivido, mismo que siempre se deposita en una imagen en movimiento, como si se tratara de un “congelado de la historia” (así como hablamos de un “congelado de la imagen”) en el que se condensa en un espacio orientado, de una gran complejidad pero reducido a un esquematismo eidético relativamente simple, la experiencia histórica y geopolítica que vivimos desde hace más de 10 años, experiencia cuya percepción sólo puede ser sentida en una relación empática con la espacialidad, jamás pura, siempre, de lo contrario, cargada de affects.
