Abstract
Le traité d’Ambroise Paré consacré à la génération de l’homme offre une place particulière à la notion de plaisir, en l’imbriquant de manière mécanique dans un réseau circulatoire complexe. Cette idée de circulation, grâce à laquelle nous analyserons le plaisir, met en évidence un texte médical construit sur des flux discursifs divers. L’évocation du plaisir sexuel dans ce traité médical, mais également dans la controverse qui l’a suivi, a des implications physiologiques, sociales, religieuses, mais également littéraires, entre didactique du plaisir et argument rhétorique.
