L'auteur presente ses reflexions et observations portant sur le colloque du programme INES et tente de demontrer l'utilite d'un tel programme dans le developpement d'une source d'informations transnationales qui laisse transparaitre un reel souci d'amelioration de la qualite et de standardisation. Il etablit egalement une analyse critique et denonce les limites du programme dans le cadre de la mesure de l'impact des reformes et demontre l'interet de ce programme dans le contexte canadien, puisqu'une telle initiative peut aider a depasser le provincialisme qui caracterise le systeme educatif au Canada...
