Este estudio del peque?o libro de ficciones sat?ricas de Carlos Monsiv?is, Nuevo catecismo para indios remisos, examina c?mo, a trav?s de una t?cnica emblem? tica, analiza el car?cter secular de una sociedad mexicana que en el libro de f? bulas se presenta como medieval y colonial. Tambi?n analiza tipos de humor y otras t?cnicas ret?ricas que refuerzan el estilo del autor de estas f?bulas enig m?ticas, con particular ?nfasis sobre el uso de intertextos y aforismos, para apun tar c?mo el conjunto de estas estrategias ling??sticas sugieren un mensaje contem por?neo y laico acerca de las posibilidades democratizantes de M?xico.
