Abstract
L’histoire du fait musulman dans la cité phocéenne est d’abord une histoire de migrants, une histoire d’immigration. Encore aujourd’hui, l’inscription de la religion musulmane dans le contexte urbain marseillais relève de logiques migratoires, de manière sans doute plus marquée que dans les autres métropoles françaises. Autrement dit, les collectifs musulmans marseillais, que l’on peut objectiver à travers notre regard de chercheur, sont d’abord des « collectifs migratoires » qui se sont institutionnalisés au fil du temps par le biais du religieux. Toutefois, la survivance de cette dimension migratoire n’est pas incompatible avec l’affirmation d’un « islam local » que nous qualifierons d’islam paroissial.
