Abstract
L’article questionne la notion de référentiel associée à celle de compétence dans le cadre de la formation à l’enseignement. Il présente, dans un premier temps, un ensemble d’apports présentant des contributions favorables à leur utilisation. Elles insistent sur les dimensions professionnelles et le recours à une logique d’action, l’établissement d’une cohérence plus grande et le renforcement de la responsabilisation. Ensuite, l’article relève plusieurs limites potentielles. L’emprise du politique et les options idéologiques économicistes, accompagnées par des intérêts particuliers, seraient à la source d’une logique morcelante des compétences, mais aussi de l’imposition d’une normativité hégémonique, standardisée, managériale et techniciste aux pratiques ; normativité indépendante des pratiques effectives des enseignants et ignorante de préoccupations humaines.
