In article the brief items on religious needs of the emigrants-Slavs settling in Canada are resulted, an d also pro cess of formation of the fi rst orthodox community in this territory is shown. The special attention is given to vicarial visits of bishop Tihon (Bellavin) and archbishop Platon (Rozhdestvennsky) to Canada for the decision of various problems of spiritual life of this region.
