Abstract
La primera y la segunda partes del Entremés famoso del marión de Quevedo presentan un juicio crítico sobre el género de capa y espada y el drama de honor. Esta crítica se elabora por medio de mecanismos cómicos con los que se hace reír al público de convencionalismos dramáticos que se repiten en exceso. La primera parte de El marión parodia situaciones, personajes y el lenguaje dramático mientras que la segunda parte constituye además una continuación burlesca de los fines de comedia con matrimonios dispares. El marión no se limita a examinar los defectos de sus modelos sino que además procura señalar derroteros para escribir con ingenio. La crítica literaria de estos dos entremeses va acompañada por un comentario social y moral que parte de la figura del varón afeminado, Costanzo, y de su matrimonio desavenido con María.
