ABSTRACT Workplace stress has emerged as a significant challenge in modern organizations, directly affecting employee well-being, productivity, and overall job satisfaction. This research paper presents an in-depth exploratory study of the diverse causes and far-reaching impacts of occupational stress. It investigates a range of contributing factors, including excessive workloads, unrealistic deadlines, poor management practices, and the increasing difficulty of maintaining work-life balance. Additional stressors such as inadequate support systems, role ambiguity, interpersonal conflicts, and technological overload are also examined. Drawing on a comprehensive review of existing literature and supported by empirical analysis, the study aims to identify key workplace stressors, understand their impact on productivity (e.g., absenteeism, engagement, and work quality), and assess how they influence work-life balance. The findings offer actionable insights for organizations and individuals seeking to address workplace stress through holistic interventions, flexible work policies, and the promotion of a culture of empathy—ultimately fostering environments that support both high performance and employee well-being. Understanding Workplace Stress in Today’s World In today's fast-paced and highly competitive work environments, stress has become an almost inevitable part of professional life. While a certain level of stress can act as a motivator, chronic or unmanaged workplace stress poses a serious threat to both individual well-being and organizational success. From looming deadlines and excessive workloads to poor management practices and unclear job expectations, the sources of stress are varied and often deeply embedded in workplace culture. The impact of this stress goes beyond momentary discomfort. It manifests in reduced employee productivity, increased absenteeism, declining job satisfaction, and ultimately, burnout. Employees struggling to keep up often find themselves mentally and physically drained, affecting their ability to perform efficiently and contribute creatively. Moreover, the blurring of boundaries between professional obligations and personal life—especially in the era of remote work and digital connectivity, further exacerbates the challenge of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. AIM OF THE STUDY This research paper aims to explore the multifaceted nature of workplace stress, focusing on its root causes, psychological impacts, and the ways it affects both employee productivity and work-life balance. The study seeks to analyze key stress-inducing factors such as workload pressures, organizational culture, lack of autonomy, interpersonal conflicts, and job insecurity. It will delve into the emotional turmoil exper
