UKRAINIAN THEATRE IN THE POLISH SOCIO-CULTURAL SPACE OF THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE 21ST CENTURY AS A COMPONENT OF TRANSCULTURAL DIALOGUE

The article examines Ukrainian theater in the Polish socio-cultural space of the first quarter of the 21st century as a component of transcultural dialogue, a tool for forming national and cultural identity in the context of the war in Ukraine and the forced migration associated with it. Its role in shaping performative practices of solidarity is determined, institutional integration, and decolonization of cultural narratives is determined. The purpose of scientific research is to understand the representation of Ukrainian theater in Poland as a transcultural phenomenon of the period under study. Special attention is paid to the analysis of representation formats (guest screenings, co-productions, educational projects) and thematic lines (war, refugee, historical memory, etc.) of Ukrainian theater in Poland in its geographical centers (Wroclaw, Warsaw, Bydgoszcz). Empirical data on Ukrainian theater in Poland as a complex phenomenon combining a humanitarian response to the war, tools of cultural diplomacy, and mechanisms of institutional integration are systematized and analyzed. It is shown that Ukrainian theater in Poland functions as an active agent of transcultural theater practices, which transforms the Polish theater field and contributes to the rethinking of the image of Ukraine in the European cultural space. It has been proven that Ukrainian theater in Poland plays a significant role in the formation of cross-border solidarity, the renewal of cultural memory, and the integration of Ukrainian artists into European networks of theaters of migration (Theatre of Migration). Such initiatives expand the boundaries of recognition and understanding of Ukrainian culture, influence repertoire strategies, and the politics of memory, promote mutual understanding and social integration, create space for Ukrainian-Polish cultural dialogue, overcome stereotypes, forming shared values and achieving new models of social interaction and cultural diplomacy.
