Abstract
A Tinitiative de ce projet de publication, une session intitulee Hommage a Ahmadou presidee par les coordonnateurs au dix-neuvieme congres annuel du Conseil international des Etudes francophones (CIEF) qui s'est tenue a Gatineau-Ottawa en juillet 2005. Lenthousiasme et Ten gouement observes n'etaient pas surfaits. En effet, lTvoirien Ahmadou Kourouma, dont la renommee transcende les frontieres geographiques, linguistiques et artistiques, nest plus a presen ter. On ne compte plus les analyses de son oeuvre litteraire et les hommages a titre posthume qui lui ont ete dedies, comme en temoigne la bibliographie indicative a la fin de ce dossier, sans oublier les distinctions et prix presti gieux obtenus dont le Goncourt des Lyceens et le Renaudot. Son oeuvre romanesque peu nombreuse mais tres dense (cinq romans dont le dernier a titre posthume) continue de susciter cogitations themati ques, reflexions epistemologiques et tribulations generiques. La geste est ici introduite par Adama Coulibaly qui fait ressortir dans Allah nest pas oblige la dimension postmoderne de l'ecriture de Kourouma, dimension manifeste surtout dans Facte des createurs Allah et Birahima.
