Abstract
Cette contribution propose un apercu de quelques proprietes procedurales de jeux de ficelle inuit, a partir de la presentation d'une figure a motif triangulaire realisee dans la quasi-totalite de l'aire inuit, et enregistree sur un support filmique — pour la premiere fois semble-t-il — par l'ethnologue suisse Jean Gabus en 1938/39. Ce document filmique (ici mis en ligne) est d'abord situe au regard des brefs ecrits de Gabus sur les jeux de ficelle des Inuit « Caribou » du Canada — et en particulier de son interpretation concernant leur dimension « magique » — (Celine Petit), puis il est commente par Stephan Claassen, qui explicite notamment la sequence finale du jeu fondee sur une intervention a deux sur la figure de fil (dite de « l'anus », de « la bouche », du « piege » ou du « petit doigt »). Certains aspects proceduraux impliques dans la creation de cette figure — et de ses variantes — sont enfin plus particulierement evoques, a partir de donnees ethnographiques recueillies dans differents groupes inuit, dans les annees 1910 (par Diamond Jenness) et dans les annees 2000 (Celine Petit).
