Cómo trabajar en y centros donde el almru.mdoes diverso culturalmente es una cuestión que en los últimos años ha despcl1ado el interés de docentes e investigadores, que parecen inclinarse más discursivamente que en la práctica bacia lo que se ha llamado educacióu intcrcultural.Es!e enfoque no ha nacido en España sino que ha sido Íluportado de otlOS países que han tomado esta dirección desde hace algún tiempo.Este es el caso del Quebec, provincia canadiense utilizada en ocasiones como modelo desde Cataluña especialmente cn lo que se refiere El la cuestión iingiiística-) que se ha can'tderizado por escoger di.rigirse hacia este modelo desde los años ochenta, aunque en la actualidad se incline hacia lo que han llamado éducation a la cilOyenneté.Canadá y, específicamente, el Quebec, corno otros muchos paises, se ha formado a base de sucesivas migraciones que han ido construyendo una sociedad heterogénea donde los autóctonos (amerindios e inuirs) se convierten en actores secundarios.En un contexto donde, olvidando los a¡¡tóctonos, existia una diferencia inicial de tipo lingüístico (anglófonos y francófonos) las diferentes oleadas migratorias fueron y siguen aportando mayor diversidad lingüística y cultural que con más intensidad en unos momentos que en otro •• c ba ido teniendo en cuenta Núria Llevol Caivel Universidad de Ueida fkvista Ey/""jol" de 8ducación Comparado, 6 (2000), 445-446
