Abstract

Cette recherche s'interesse, d'une part, a la relation entre le risque de decrochage scolaire et la perception du climat de classe chez les eleves du secondaire et, d'autre part, a la verification, a titre exploratoire, de l'effet moderateur du programme d'etude sur ce lien. L'etude est menee aupres de 471 adolescents (245 garcons, 226 filles) âges de 13 a 17 ans. Les instruments de mesure utilises sont le questionnaire Decisions (Quirouette, 1988) et une adaptation du Classroom Environment Scale (Moos & Trickett, 1974). Les resultats corroborent le premier objectif de la recherche et revelent qu'une perception negative du climat de classe predit de facon significative le decrochage scolaire des adolescents au secondaire. Les resultats confirment en partie le second objectif de la recherche et montrent que les dimensions du climat de classe les plus associees au risque de decrochage sont, en ordre d'importance, l'engagement, l'affiliation, la clarte des reglements et la competition. Quant a la question des programmes d'etude, les resultats indiquent que, comparativement aux programmes d'adaptation scolaire, enrichi et regulier, le programme concentre agit comme variable moderatrice dans la relation entre la perception d'affiliation, de controle de l'enseignant et le risque de decrochage. En outre, le programme d'adaptation scolaire, comparativement au programme regulier, agit comme variable moderatrice dans la relation entre la perception d'orientation vers le travail et le risque de decrochage scolaire.
