Abstract
Se a identidade permanece no centro das preocupações culturais e políticas, ela revela novas tendências em sua discursividade. O tempo não é mais o da afirmação de uma pertença una e incondicional; a identidade passa por redes nocionais móveis, em que ela se constitui em permanente devir. O discurso, seja ele oriundo de uma obra literária, de um texto publicitário ou jornalístico, sugere representações múltiplas. Assim, no eixo Canadá/Brasil, que nos interessa particularmente, visamos estabelecer pontos de intersecção – semelhanças e diferenças – entre as representações identitárias, mostrando que um bom número delas se conjuga sobre a metáfora. Tentaremos mostrar, comparando escolhas discursivas canadenses e brasileiras, que a natureza das metáforas privilegiadas tende a apresentar a identidade sob a forma da movência, tanto no espaço quanto no tempo.Résumé: Si l’identité rest au coeur des préocupations culturelles et politiques, elle acuse de nouvelles tendances dans sa mise en discours. Le temps n’est plus à l’affirmation d’une appartenance, unique et inconditionelle; l’identité passe plutôt par des réseaux notionnels plus mouvants où elle se constitue en devenir. Le discours, qu’il soit issu d’une oeuvre littéraire, d’un texte publicitaire ou journalistique, suggère des représentations multiples. Ainsi, dans l’axe Canada-Brésil qui nous intéresse particulièrement, nous visons à établir les points d’intersection – des ressemblances et des différences – entre les représentations identitaires en montrant que bon nombre se conjuguent sur la métaphore. Nous tenterons de montrer, en comparant des choix discursifs brésiliens et canadiens, que la nature des métaphores privilégiées tend à présenter l’identité sur le monde de la mouvance, tant dans l’espace que dans le temps.
