L’article compare trois traductions de la version haïda skidegate des hauts faits du corbeau, le « trickster » des Premières Nations du nord-ouest de l’Amérique, à une traduction de la version tuchoni septentrionale du même mythe. Les trois traductions du récit haïda ont été effectuées par trois universitaires non autochtones, qui ont tous eu recours à des interprètes haïdas, dont ils ont ensuite modifié les traductions avant de les publier. L’analyse de ces traductions révèle plus de similarités que de différences entre les trois textes d’arrivée et une tendance généralisée à l’occidentalisation. La traduction de la version tuchoni septentrionale du même mythe, réalisée par un aîné de cette nation yukonnaise, s’avère cependant fidèle aux traditions amérindiennes.
