Abstract
Message de bienvenue du nouveau président NOUVELLES DE L'AUC L 'AUC a connu une année chargée en événements et en succès, notamment l'excellent congrès annuel animé par notre président sortant Luc Valiquette, et un programme social fabuleux concocté par Bruno Laroche.À titre de secrétaire ces 5 dernières années, Bruno Laroche a abattu un travail considérable -merci!Il a passé le flambeau au très compétent Denis Lavoie qui a fait ses preuves en démarrant et en menant à terme avec brio la brochure info-patients.Cette année a également été marquée par deux événements particulièrement saillants.Tout d'abord la création du propre journal de l'AUC, le JAUC, qui s'avère déjà une réussite.Ensuite, la mise en place du Bureau de l'éducation dirigé par Peter Anderson, secondé par Harry Zwanenburg.Nous nous préparons pour le congrès annuel de 2008 à Edmonton et vous promettons un programme social emballant.C'est le docteur Michael Chetner qui préside le Comité organisateur local et qui s'est attelé à la tâche.Le programme scientifique promet d'être passionnant, avec des sommités internationales, de la chirurgie en direct et des vidéos sur la chirurgie.Un plus grand nombre de séances d'affiches modérées permettra une meilleure interactivité avec les participants.Pour terminer, grâce au soutien phénoménal de notre bureau central, nous pourrons non seulement poursuivre mais bonifier la somme de nos activités.Nous vous promettons un excellent congrès à Edmonton.Vous pourrez d'ailleurs faire vos réservations d'hôtel et vous inscrire au congrès dès le printemps 2008.Au plaisir de vous accueillir à Edmonton!
