Abstract
RESUMEN: Desde que Quebec fue invitado de honor de la Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara en 2003, la poesia quebequense ha ganado en visibilidad en America Latina, especialmente en Mexico. Nos interesan aqui cuatro antologias dirigidas por el poeta quebequense Bernard Pozier y publicadas en Mexico en coedicion con Les Ecrits des Forges, casa editorial quebequense especializada en poesia: Poetas de Quebec (1996); Latinos del norte (2003); Aqui y ahora: 35 poetas de Quebec a partir de 1960 (2003); 15 poetas de Quebec (2008). Estudiamos la manera en que estos libros exponen la poesia y la cultura quebequenses a los lectores mexicanos por medio de sus paratextos: cubiertas, titulos, prefacios y seleccion de autores y textos. Con este breve estudio nos proponemos dar a conocer la manera en que la poesia quebequense de habla francesa ha sido presentada al publico mexicano en traduccion espanola por los Ecrits des Forges en los ultimos 15 anos. ABSTRACT: Since Quebec participated as guest of honour in the 2003 Guadalajara International Book Fair, the poetry of the Province has been gaining visibility in Latin America, especially in Mexico. This contribution focuses on four anthologies edited by Quebec poet Bernard Pozier and published in Mexico in collaboration with Les Ecrits des Forges, a Quebecois publishing house that specializes in poetry: Poetas de Quebec (1996); Latinos del norte (2003); Aqui y ahora: 35 poetas de Quebec a partir de 1960 (2003); 15 poetas de Quebec (2008). It analyzes how these books present Quebec poetry and culture to the Mexican readerhip by way of their paratexts: covers, titles, prefaces, as well as author and text selection. This study aims at understanding how Quebec poetry has been introduced to Mexican readers by Les Ecrits des Forges in Spanish translation over the last 15 years.
