Cet article présente une réflexion sur les répercussions pratiques de l’ Énoncé de politique des trois Conseils sur l’éthique de la recherche auprès des êtres humains au Canada. L’analyse s’applique spécifiquement à l’éthique de la recherche phronétique définie par B. Flyvbjerg comme l’ensemble des activités de recherche qui utilisent principalement une approche inductive et qualitative ayant pour but l’action sociale. Une analyse critique de la technocratisation du savoir éthique est présentée à partir de l’examen des documents de trois comités d’éthique de la recherche universitaire, soit celui de l’université Laval, de l’université de Montréal et de l’université d’Ottawa. Nous évaluons les limites de l’éthique procédurale et les apports de l’éthique réflexive nécessaires à l’interaction chercheur-participant.
