Abstract
Seront presentes dans cet article les resultats d'une recherche ethno-sociolinguistique de longue haleine menee dans un milieu de travail bilingue situe en Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick. Nous insisterons surtout sur l'interet que presente le genre d'etude dans l'analyse des situations sociolinguistiques et dans la formulation des strategies d'intervention qui s'ensuivent. Autrement dit, comment l'ethno-sociolinguistique et la sociolinguistique critique peuventelles, en tant que disciplines, contribuer a la reflexion sur les mesures d'amenagement linguistique et eclairer d'un nouveau jour l'analyse des situations sociolinguistiques? Nous insisterons particulierement sur I'importance de la prise en compte de la dimension symbolique de la langue dans Ie processus d'analyse des situations linguistiques et, partant, dans Ie processus d'amenagement qui s'ensuit.
