Abstract
Plutôt que de caractériser un domaine d’analyse en soi, surplombant la discipline architecturale, j’ai préféré partir de l’histoire même contemporaine de celle-ci (la crise ouverte par la postmodernité, il y a trente ans) afin de faire comprendre les enjeux dont elle était porteuse en tant que lieu d’une complexité de la forme ; ainsi, c’est dans cette confrontation propre à son histoire que j’ai essayé de faire émerger ses exigences formelles associées au rapport entre une intériorité et une extériorité, à ceux de sa mise en scène en tant que représentation paradoxale ; à la place d’une tradition dans le processus d’élaboration. Tous ces rapports renvoient à une constitution en termes de Gestalten sémiotiques où l’œuvre rassemble une multiplicité de traits faisant d’elle un « monde » (au sens phénoménologique) plus ou moins homogène qu’on appellera une tectonique de l’édification (traduisant un projet, une mémoire, faisant d’elle une poétique de l’élaboration).
