Ce mot ne peur etre que celui de Carnac.Lucie Albertini-Guillevic, sa femme inspiratrice et l'edittice du present livre, rappelle opportunement « la fidelite aux racines de l'aujourd'hui du poete » (8).Que ce livre se termine par un poeme du lieu de naissance -alors qu'il se sait deja trop « souffreteux » selon ses propres termes -et a trois mots de sa mort -reveIe une grande constante chez le poere en meme temps que d'un desir de recapitulation finale.« Il y a quelque chose a Carnac / Ou se donnent a voir / Les traces du vieil ordre.».On peut y lire une sorte de nostalgie -lui qui pourtant disait etre un des rares poetes a ne l'etre pas -, mais une nostalgie pour les origines, celles de cette terre mysterieuse ou sont venus s'installer des hommes qui ont construit des monuments dom les vestiges ne laissent roujours pas deviner aux savants du XXl e siecle ce qu'ils pouvaiem precisement representer.Guillevic recherche cet ordre et n'est pas loin de le deviner « Mais en roi tu les sens », (<< Les traces du vieil ot"dre »).Guillevic s'est roujours situe a mi chemin emre le raisonnement scientifique, et l'intuition poetique.De meme, son verbe se situe-t-il ami-chemin emre la tradition et la modernite, entre le lyrisme et l'epopee, entre la prose et la poesie.C'est rout simplement l'expression incomparable d'un poere libre.
