Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la transferencia de conocimiento para la produccion de los componentes estructurales de dos modelos de avion: el Q400 yel Global Express, en la empresa Bombardier Aerospace, Queretaro. Bombardier Aerospace es una empresa pionera en el sector aeronautico en Mexico, y, a escala mundial, es el tercer mayor fabricante de aviones civiles. En el 2005, Bombardier decide invertir en Mexico, creando Bombardier Aeroespacial de Mexico S. A. de C. V., al transferir lineas de produccion de Toronto y Japon a Queretaro. La estrategia de localizacion de las dos plantas fue para reducir costos de produccion en general y de produccion modular, asi como para enfrentar a su principal competencia. Para lograrlo, conto con el apoyo del Gobierno estatal, a traves de un fideicomiso, para la creacion del cluster aeronautico de Queretaro. Dentro de los beneficios otorgados por el Estado de Queretaro, se tienen la donacion de setenta y ocho hectareas de terreno, donde se ubica el Aeropuerto Internacional de Queretaro (AIQ), para laconstruccion de un parque aeroespacial, la creacion de instituciones educativas que provean mano de obra calificada, y la creacion de una infraestructura que impulse el desarrollo de este sector, siendo fundamental para lograr la estrategia implementada por Bombardier. El interes en esta investigacion es analizar y describir la transferencia de conocimiento para la produccion de los componentes estructurales de los dos modelos de avion, en virtud de los diferentes resultados obtenidos, en terminos de productividad, por factores exogenos y endogenos que influyeron en la transferencia de conocimiento.
