OS DIÁLOGOS BRASIL-CANADÁ FACE À INFLUÊNCIA CULTURAL NORTE-AMERICANA: A TERCEIRA VIA.

Abstract
Indubitavelmente, os Estados Unidos são, na atualidade, a maior potência econômica e política do mundo. Tal poderio pode ser facilmente constatado também na área cultural. A língua, o cinema, a música, a literatura e o cotidiano (em âmbito mundial, mas sobretudo nas Américas) encontram-se fortemente marcados pela presença norte-americana. Com este trabalho de pesquisa, procuramos investigar como a contumaz influência dos Estados Unidos permeia as trocas culturais entre o Brasil e o Canadá. Investigamos ainda a reação das sociedades brasileira e canadense (em especial o Quebec) diante de tal influência, utilizando como textos-base duas importantes obras da literatura contemporânea dos dois países: Salut Galarneau!, de Jacques Godbout, e Sangue de Coca-cola, do mineiro Roberto Drummond. Através de uma perspectiva comparatista das duas obras, desnudamos as dificuldades e desvantagens impostas tanto pela submissão quanto pela guerrilha cultural aos EUA. Diante dos impasses criados por estas duas posturas, vislumbramos ainda a possibilidade de um terceiro caminho, certamente mais frutífero e enriquecedor para as Américas. É o que chamaremos neste trabalho de “A TERCEIRA VIA”.Résumé: Les États-Unis sont aujourd’hui la plus grande puissance économique et politique au monde. Tel pouvoir peut être aussi constaté au niveau culturel. La langue, le cinéma, la musique, la littérature et le quotidien (dans tout le monde, mais surtout dans les Amériques) sont fortement influencés par la presence nord-américaine. Avec ce travail de recherche on essaie de comprendre comme tel influence affect les échanges culturels entre le Canada et le Brésil. On analise la réaction de la société canadienne et brésilenne à la domination culturelle nord-americaine en utilisant deux oeuvres importantes de la littérature contemporaine des deux pays: Salut Galarneau!, de Jacques Godbout, et Sangue de Coca-cola, de Roberto Drummond. A travers une perspective comparatiste de ces deux oeuvres, on montre les difficultés et les désavantages imposées soit par la soumission, soit par la guerrilla culturelle aux États-Unis. Face aux impasses créés par ces deux postures par rapport à la culture nord-americaine, on entrevoit une troisiéme route, sûrement plus profitable et enrichissante pour les Amériques. C’est ce qu’on appellera dans ce travail "LA TROISIÉME VOIE".
