Abstract
Au lieu d'un resume, voici un bref extrait de cet article: Dans cet esprit, la litterature joue un role gnoseologique et constitue une alternative a la connaissance scientifi que. Pour l’eleve, la litterature est l’occasion d’une approche « existentielle, » car « [l]e texte litteraire vehicule des images dont la reconnaissance, a travers un double mouvement d’identification et de differenciation, confere au lecteur une identite » (Colles 82), en plus, faut-il preciser, de representer un condense des savoirs, des pratiques et des valeurs sociales d’une epoque (Raimond 113). C’est dans ce contexte qu’il nous a paru opportun d’explorer quelques romans et recits initiatiques, destines a des eleves des deuxieme et troisieme cycles du primaire et du premier cycle du secondaire, caracterises par des personnages enfants ou adolescents que des experiences signifi catives, vecues sur le continent africain, initient a la maturite, a la culture et a l’interculturel.
