Introducao: A Estrategia de SAUDE DA FAMILIA e direcionada aos nucleos familiares com acoes que visem a resolutividade dos problemas, vinculo comunitario, acessibilidade, responsabilizacao longitudinal do cuidado em saude, entre outras. Como isso, para um melhor entendimento social do processo saude-doenca e problematizacao da dinâmica familiar atual, implementamos uma tecnica de analise das familias em uma USF da cidade do Recife. Objetivos: Descrever a implementacao do Modelo Calgary de Avaliacao Familiar em uma USF do Recife/PE. Metodos: Esse trabalho teve carater qualitativo descritivo-analitico, utilizou-se o Modelo Calgary de Avaliacao Familiar (MCAF) que e utilizado para identificar problemas subjetivos e objetivos, que irao alterar a dinâmica familiar, Resultados: O modelo Calgary (MCAF) avaliou as seguintes categorias nas familias estudadas: estrutura familiar, aspectos internos, externos e contexto familiar; desenvolvimento familiar, vinculos e o funcionamento familiar. Com essa avaliacao social subjetiva multicentrica pudemos avaliar na otica do cuidado e da integralidade, o cunho social da dinâmica familiar. Conclusao: Este instrumento e de grande valia para acompanhar familias em situacao de risco e vulnerabilidade social, aos quais classificamos de acordo com a Escala de Risco familiar de Coelho e Savassi, hierarquizando riscos mais emergenciais para que possamos agir em consonância com a equidade. Por fim, ficou evidente que o Modelo Calgary de Avaliacao Familiar e eficiente e eficaz na estruturacao de uma analise de cunho social subjetivo, reconhecendo a ‘raiz social’ da problematica, que sao os precursores da instalacao do processo saude-doenca das familias.
