Réflexions sur une expérience interdisciplinaire dans le cadre d’une recherche exploratoire

Abstract
Une étude de cas exploratoire a été réalisée auprès d’auxiliaires familiales et sociales et d’infirmières d’un service de maintien à domicile afin : 1) d’identifier les diverses contraintes faisant de leurs tâches un risque pour leur santé ; 2) d’étudier les stratégies mises en œuvre pour réduire l’effet de ces contraintes et 3) d’apporter une attention particulière aux variations en fonction de l’âge et de l’expérience de la main-d’œuvre. Il a donc semblé pertinent d’associer les approches de la statistique de la santé et des populations, de la sociologie du travail et du vieillissement ainsi que de l’ergonomie. Cet article, basé sur l’analyse détaillée de deux exemples, se veut une réflexion à posteriori visant à clarifier pourquoi cette collaboration interdisciplinaire a semblé aller de soi ; quelles ont été les contributions propres à chaque discipline et ce que cette collaboration a pu apporter de plus. La contribution de l’interdisciplinarité se situe, d’une part, au niveau de la recherche, avec des retombées scientifiques globales et en termes d’avancées disciplinaires, et, d’autre part, au niveau du milieu, avec des retombées fonctionnelles ainsi que certaines autres qui touchent la dynamique du changement social.
