Les concepteurs de la Grounded Theory proposent une approche qui est supposée favoriser l’innovation scientifique par une méthode d’enracinement de l’analyse dans les données de terrain. L’objectif de cet article est de mettre à l’épreuve cette prétention en essayant d’abord de comprendre en quoi et comment l’approche méthodologique proposée par la Grounded Theory peut favoriser l’innovation en recherche scientifique et, ensuite, en essayant de mettre en cause cette prétention afin d’en identifier quelques limites.
