Abstract

Le but de cette etude est de proposer et de tester un modele de la procrastination academique aupres d'etudiants inscrits a la maitrise. Ce modele propose que le lien entre le contexte interpersonnel et la procrastination academique s'explique par les processus d'evaluation reflechie et d'autoregulation. Plus precisement, ce modele postule que les croyances du directeur de recherche a l'egard de la performance de son etudiant sont associees positivement aux evaluations reflechies de l'etudiant. En retour, les evaluations reflechies sont associees negativement a un echec a l'autoregulation academique. Enfin, l'echec a l'autoregulation est associe positivement a la procrastination academique. Au total, 109 etudiants a la maitrise et 57 directeurs de recherche ont participe a cette etude. Les resultats des analyses de regression ont appuye le modele propose, ce qui souleve l'importance des processus d'evaluation reflechie et d'autoregulation pour comprendre la relation entre les croyances du directeur de recherche et la procrastination academique.
