Abstract
Résumé À l’heure où le pluralisme idéologique et culturel sert souvent de prétexte de la part de groupes religieux pour mettre en pratique des stratégies de repliement identitaire – lesquelles peuvent (paradoxalement) se manifester publiquement ! –, la préoccupation de Habermas d’une traduction du potentiel sémantique religieux peut être entendue comme une occasion d’entrer dans un processus de dialogue et de discussion publique. L’hypothèse qui a mené ce travail est que l’explicitation des ressources théoriques sous-jacentes à la proposition habermassienne de traduction peut donner à penser sur les quelques conditions de participation des croyants et de leurs communautés à ce travail public. Par ce travail, nous avons cherché à rendre compte d’une avenue possible d’insertion des groupes religieux dans l’espace public différencié des sociétés complexes.
