High Asymmetric Dimethylarginine Levels in Migraine During the Interictal Period (P7.191)
Bibliographic record
Abstract
OBJECTIVE:Experimental and clinical data suggest that cortical spreading depression (CSD) is the most probable phenomenon that underlies the migraine and increased nitric oxide (NO) formation is likely to occur during CSD. BACKGROUND:The aim of this study was to evaluate the levels of asymmetrical dimethylarginine (ADMA), an endogenous inhibitor of NO synthase (NOS), in migraine patients during the interictal period. DESIGN/METHODS:100 patients and 100 healthy volunteers entered the study. The patients were in the interictal period and classified into two groups as having migraine with or without aura. Their serum ADMA levels were measured using the high performance liquid chromotography (HPLC) method. RESULTS:Serum ADMA levels were found significantly higher in patients with migraine compared to the control group (all comparisons p=0.001>). But there was no statistically significant difference between the patients with and without aura (p=0.451). CONCLUSIONS:Our high serum ADMA levels suggest that ADMA may play an important role in the pathophysiology of migraine and may stimulate the pharmacological research to develop NOS inhibitors that can help migraine patients. Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
