Abstract
Este artigo explora alguns aspectos culturais e semióticos relacionados ao discurso publicitário contemporâneo. Entende-se que a linguagem da publicidade é formada não somente por sua narrativa interna, mas também por seus fundamentos ideológicos, atrelados ao principal propósito capitalista de lucratividade das grandes corporações. Baseado no conceito de que todo texto é ideológico e considerando as idéias de M. BAKHTIN sobre reflexão e refração do signo na sociedade, são apresentados alguns exemplos aleatórios de publicidades no século XX que exemplificam tal dinâmica, considerando níveis de resistência e mudança (contra)cultural.
