Abstract

Seclazone, a new antipyretic and anti-inflammatory compound with diuretic properties significantly inhibits the bradykinin-induced bronchoconstrictor responses of guinea-pig lungs in vivo without altering those produced by histamine. Pretreatment with seclazone (150 or 300 mg/kg, p.o.) also preventsthe increases in vascular permeability of rat skin after intradermal injection of bradykinin.
