Abstract
Wenn in der kommenden Wintersaison die XXI. Olympischen Winterspiele in Vancouver und Whistler (12.–28. Februar 2010) vorüber sind, schließen sich vom 12.–21. März die X. Winter-Paralympics in Vancouver an den gleichen Sportstätten und im selben olympischen Dorf an. Grund genug, im vorliegenden Schwerpunktheft einen kursorischen Rückblick auf ihre Entwicklung zu werfen.
