Abstract
Depuis une décennie, le régionalisme asiatique est en mutation. Les accords économiques et arrangements institutionnels de toute nature y prolifèrent et s’enchevêtrent, mais sans cohérence apparente. Ces dynamiques multiples, issues de la diversité des perspectives et intérêts des puissances asiatiques, font du régionalisme en Asie un projet différent du modèle européen et américain, mais dont la forme finale demeure incertaine. Cette incertitude provient de la confrontation des arrangements institutionnels mis de l’avant par les États-Unis, la Chine et le Japon et laisse l’ANASE comme seul point d’ancrage du régionalisme asiatique. Cet article offre une revue des perspectives théoriques sur le "nouveau régionalisme" et une analyse comparative des approches régionales des trois grandes puissances régionales. Les auteurs arrivent à la conclusion qu’il n’y a pas convergence vers une vision commune de l’Asie, mais trois, en concurrence pacifique : celle de l’ANASE+3 (préférence chinoise), celle du Sommet de l’Asie (préférence japonaise) ou l’Asie-Pacifique (préférence américaine)
