L'adaptation à l'interaction des expatriés en Inde : l'effet du pays d'origine

Abstract
Résumé Cette recherche empirique est tirée d’une recherche doctorale qui examine l’effet du pays d’origine sur quatre mesures de l’adaptation (l’adaptation au travail, l’adaptation à l’interaction, l’adaptation générale et le temps d’intégration des expatriés dans leur nouveau poste) et leurs antécédents. Dans cet article, nous nous focalisons sur l’adaptation à l’interaction. L’approche est quantitative. Le modèle de recherche intègre les antécédents classiques individuels, organisationnels et contextuels de l’adaptation. Le pays d’origine est considéré comme une variable modératrice. L’échantillon est composé de 224 cadres expatriés en Inde : 56 Français, 53 Allemands, 60 Sud-Coréens et 57 Scandinaves ont rempli un questionnaire autoadministré. La méthode d’analyse est basée sur des régressions hiérarchiques avec une variable modératrice. Les résultats montrent que le pays d’origine a un effet direct sur l’adaptation à l’interaction et un effet modérateur sur le pouvoir explicatif de ses antécédents. Les implications théoriques et managériales des résultats de cette recherche sont discutées.
