Résumé Cet article présente les résultats d’une enquête menée auprès de vingt (20) paires de négociateurs patronaux et syndicaux dont les équipes de négociation ont participé à une formation conjointe sur les techniques de résolution de problèmes en négociation collective. L’enquête visait à établir un bilan des retombées de la formation au cours des négociations collectives qui ont suivi, et une évaluation de l’efficacité de cette formation en vue de modifier les approches et les comportements des négociateurs. Les résultats révèlent que différentes techniques de résolution de problèmes expérimentées dans le cadre de la formation (participation aux discussions et informations plus ouvertes à la table de négociation, séances conjointes de « remue-méninges », recherche de critères objectifs) ont été utilisées par les négociateurs patronaux et syndicaux dans 16 des 20 négociations collectives ultérieures. Dans quatre cas, les parties ont fait appel à un facilitateur externe pour les accompagner dans la mise en œuvre de cette nouvelle démarche de négociation. Une forte majorité des répondants estime que la mise en œuvre des techniques apprises en formation a contribué à améliorer le climat relationnel à la table de négociation.
