Bibliographic record
Abstract
Several members of the Editorial Panel of Series B completed their term this year, and a new cohort was appointed. The retiring Associate Editors Garrett Fitzmaurice, Paul Garthwaite, Thomas Richardson, Steven Stern and Dag Tjøstheim were replaced in August 2003 by Peter Bühlmann (Eidgenössiche Technische Hochschule Zürich), Vanessa Didelez (University College London), Nancy Reid (University of Toronto), Mark Steel (University of Warwick) and Eric Slud (University of Maryland). We are as ever most grateful to everyone involved in the editorial process for their fine work. We thank especially Martin Owen, Executive Editor of the Royal Statistical Society, for his staunch commitment to Series B, and Anna Mair and Charlotte Stovell for their sterling help in Errol Street. We thank also all those who have acted as referees for the journal, whose names will be published in the annual report of the Society. The journal continues to flourish, with a record number of 309 submissions in the period from September 2002 to August 2003, compared with numbers around 260 in the previous five years and numbers nearer 200 in the eight years before those. This 20% increase may be due to the introduction of electronic submission of papers during 2002.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Full frame distilled prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
