Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract In this study two different anesthetic protocols for ovariohysterectomy (OVH) were evaluated in ten female Labrador dogs, randomly distributed into two groups of 5 animals each, and were assigned at random, a different protocol to each group: Group 1 (fentanyl + etomidate), Group 2 (fentanyl + thiopental). In both groups the maintenance was done with isofluorano. In each case its effects were evaluated on hemogram, alanine-aminotransferasa (ALT), alkaline phosphatase, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine, taking samples 24 hours before, 2 and 24 hours after the anesthesia and OVH surgery. As to the red line cells, values declined were significant in Group 1(p≤0,05). In contrast, in the white line cells most of its variables showed no significant changes; however, neutrophils increased markedly 24 hours after anesthesia and OVH surgery (p≤0,05). As for the increased of ALT values attributable to the anesthetic protocols, did not have significant clinical effects. Changes in creatinine values were not clinically relevant. The other variables were within the normal parameters, with no significant changes between the groups and time of sampling. In conclusion in conditions of this study, used anesthetic combinations produced no changes on outside on the physiological parameters of the blood cells and biochemical analyzed; however it is recommend to take special care with the use of etomidate for induction in patients with reduced red blood cells.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
