Abstract
Chiral conducting surfaces poly(EDOT-1)-Pt and poly(EDOT-2)-Pt have been prepared via electro-copolymerization of EDOT and alanine functionalized terthiophenes. Poly(EDOT-1)-Pt and poly(EDOT-2)-Pt were characterized by FTIR and cyclic voltammetry, and they exhibit excellent stability. Via hydrogen bond interactions, poly(EDOT-2)-Pt has the ability to recognize bioorganic molecules such as a dipeptide Leu-LeuOMe. The capacitive current of poly(EDOT-2)-Pt decreased by 30 % in the presence of Leu-LeuOMe as a result of hydrogen bond formation, which behaves as a barrier for supporting electrolyte ions. No significant change in the capacitive current has been observed for poly(EDOT-1)-Pt and Leu-LeuOMe interactions.
