Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The stereochemistry of oxidative addition of MeI and MeO 3 SCF 3 to binuclear dimethylplatinum(II) complexes containing bis(bidentate) ligands such as cis - and trans -1,2-C 6 H 10 (N CH-2-C 5 H 4 N) 2, 1 and 2a, has been studied. Oxidative addition of the Me−X bond (X = I or CF 3 SO 3 ) occurred at both dimethylplatinum centers, often with high stereoselectivity, to give bis(trimethylplatinum(IV)) complexes. Two types of adducts were formed, either neutral complexes containing {PtMe 3 X} 2 groups or ionic complexes containing [(PtMe 3 ) 2 (μ-X)] + X - groups. When X = iodide, both forms were detected, but when X = triflate, the ionic form with one bridging triflate ligand dominated. The triflate ligand was easily displaced by water to give an aqua complex, and reaction of NaBH 4 with cis -1,2-[C 6 H 10 {N CH-2-C 5 H 4 N(PtMe 3 )} 2 (μ-O 3 SCF 3 )][O 3 SCF 3 ] gave the platinum(IV) borohydride complex cis -1,2-[C 6 H 10 {N CH-2-C 5 H 4 N(PtMe 3 )} 2 (μ-BH 4 )][O 3 SCF 3 ] as a single diastereomer. Addition of PPh 3 to trans -1,2-[C 6 H 10 {N CH-2-C 5 H 4 N(PtMe 3 )} 2 (μ-O 3 SCF 3 )][O 3 SCF 3 ] gave C 2 -symmetric trans -1,2-[C 6 H 10 {N CH-2-C 5 H 4 N(PtMe 3 PPh 3 )} 2 ][O 3 SCF 3 ] 2, with a change in absolute configuration.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
